The HF Air Locker differentials feature a 12-volt air compressor to enable the locking and unlocking of the robust, compact mechanism within the differential. This allows you to gain the desired traction with ease, and all it takes is a simple push of a switch from the driver’s seat. The key advantage of the HF Air Locker lies in its internal air system. When activated, it effectively prevents the differential gears from rotating, ensuring that the shafts don’t turn independently of one another. Consequently, both wheels are directly linked to the crown, providing the vehicle with the highest possible traction at all times.
When the HF Air Locker is disengaged, it functions like a typical open differential. Vehicles equipped with this system can be safely driven at lower speeds, which enhances control and minimizes the risk of vehicle damage. Moreover, this driving style also contributes to reducing environmental impacts.
